T. Carisius, 46 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.91 g, 2 h), Rome. MONET[A] Draped bust of Juno Moneta to right, wearing pendant earring and necklace. Rev. T CARISIVS Coining implements: anvil die with garlanded punch die above, tongs to left and hammer to right; all within laurel wreath. Babelon (Carisia) 1. Crawford 464/2. CRI 70. RBW 1614. Sydenham 982b. A very well centered and unusually complete example with excellent reverse details. Slightly porous and with minor cleaning scratches, otherwise, about extremely fine.
